HEAL YOUR BODY

HEAL YOUR BODY
by LOUISE L. HAY
Heal-Your-Body

Louise Hay, a name well-known in the spiritual world today, wrote a little blue book that was first copyrighted in 1984.  I found it not too long after it first was offered to the public.  My copy is now well-worn but I can’t part with my original copy.  It is part of my life and has been of great assistance in healing myself and others.
Only a few individuals have unfolded the marvelous truth that our troubles have a very specific mental cause.  One such teacher was William W. Walter, a breakaway Christian Scientist who healed, wrote and taught in the early years of the twentieth century.  Walter’s practical unfoldment healed many by his explaining to each patient precisely what wrong thought had caused his or her illness or trouble.  Walter’s unfoldment could be traced back to Mary Baker Eddy and her unfoldment could be traced back to Phineas Parkhurst Quimby.  Now, whether Louise Hay had studied with one of Mr. Walter’s students, or whether this was her unfoldment alone, I do not know.  However, the little blue book “Heal Your Body” is a wonderful tool to use if you are in the healing field.  You will find it of great value.

THE SPIRITUAL UNIVERSE

A book review by Patricia Boyer

As I wander daily through the  internet world of gurus, spiritists, spiritualists, online masters, new thought advocates, witches and  warlocks, so-called scientists hawking their wares they copied straight out of William Walker Atkinson’s works, theosophists, scientologists, creationists, and a hundred and one other near-hits or near-misses in mankind’s search for an answer to questions about soul, mind, and the powers that be, it appears there are few, if any, comforting answers.

However, I have found a book with answers to many, if not most, of the questions that have plagued mankind for centuries: it is "The  Spiritual Universe" by the quantum physicist,  Fred Alan Wolf PhD.

My first thought was that I would give this particular book a quick read to see if a review for my website would be appropriate. After reading the first few pages, I found  I could not put the book down.  If you read “The Spiritual Universe” (one physicist’s vision of spirit, soul, matter, and self) you will find that Dr. Wolf  has, with great understanding, provided an answer to the age-long question:  “What am I and what is my soul?”

He reaches back into the beginning of recorded history to bring forth everything mankind, in his less than infinite wisdom, has decided about his soul, his mind and his God.   Then the conclusion, based on what is known today about the universe, leads you directly to the answers you may have been seeking all your life.

His biography is on another page of this website if you wish to read more about Dr. Wolf and find the titles of his many works. I will be posting more reviews from time to time.

I hope you will go to Amazon.com and purchase “The Spiritual Universe.”  It is not expensive, but I believe you will find it priceless, and I hope it will become one of your greatest treasures.

A NEW EARTH

A NEW EARTH
by
ECKHART TOLLE
a-new-earth

The New Earth by the #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of The Power of Now. Even though this book has the stamp of Oprah's book club, nevertheless some members of the "online spiritual awakening group" have criicized Eckhart Tolle's unfoldment. They feel he has given "the pain body" an inordinate amount of power, and argue that the word "body" is singular and not plural. Yet aside from that handful of folks, the book seems to have become another "blockbuster" of spiritual instruction.
This is a beautifully written book, and is almost poetic.  For those of you who clearly see "the oneness of all" it may seem to be a primer, but for those of you who are struggling with "oneness" and "purpose" then I believe you will find this book a clear guide in your path toward the light.

THE ESSENTIAL LAWS OF FEARLESS LIVING

The Essential Laws
of Fearless Living
By Guy Finley

fearless-living

This book was a great read.  Guy Finley makes you feel, as you read, that you are right there with him, sharing his thoughts.

He opens with gratitude:  “Thanks to all who have gone before me… to reveal the Way;  thanks to those who have stood by me…along the Way; and thanks to those who have opposed me…along the way.  Your individual efforts are, and continue to be, invaluable and inseparable from the works of mine that they have helped to birth.”

Here is a prolific writer who has written about “The Way” in many books; and it is made plain in the reading that he lives what he teaches.

In the essays and lessons of this, his latest book, he says:  “As we uncover the cause of why we forget our True Self, we also recover its native fearlessness…all in one clean action.  Soon comes a whole new way to live, laugh, and love.”

However, I must say, some of the lessons laid out in the book are tough;  no punches pulled;  just straightforward instructions about how life is and what we can do about it.  The author obviously knows how to live in harmony with the world and with himself, and he makes clear the way for all who need to find their own personal courage.

For many of us, fear has been the greatest obstacle to overcome in life.  We think we’ve got it licked, but when we grow into life’s next level, there it is again.  And we feel like we are starting all over again.   But we’re not starting over, we just have a little more cleaning up to do.

Guy Finley has some great instructions for the “cleaning up.”  I fearlessly recommend “The Essential Laws of Fearless Living.”

THE POWER OF NOW

by Eckhart Tolle

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

Deepak Chopra says of this book: “One of the best books to come along in years. Every sentence rings with truth and power.”

Lama Surya Das, author of Awakening the Buddha Within, writes: “I heartily recommend this profoundly inspiring book to all seekers today.”

And on one of today’s online spiritual-mode websites was found the following information directed to their followers:  "While we WILL pick some holes in Eckhart’s philosophies and how they’re rooted in anti-logic and anti-reason, and explain why there’s nothing more dangerous than a guru who is positioned to be immune to criticism and spouts thought-stopping cliches such as ‘pain body’ in response to people who question and ponder his teachings, it still won’t be a ‘pick on Eckhart fest’."

As you can clearly see from the preceding three quotations, some online spiritual-type folks seem to be a little upset by this new light in the literary world, while the proven ones have only good things to say about this beautifully written book.

Dr. Chopra’s work is well known to all. His appreciation for Eckhart Tolle’s work will be beneficial to many in their decision whether to read or not. And as the good Lama Surya Das suggests, there is a need to awaken the Buddha within -- a need that is as urgent in this day and time as it has ever been, perhaps moreso. The Power of Now may awaken your Buddha within.

If you have read any of the criticism concerning The Power of Now, I ask that you take a deep breath, reconsider, and give yourself the freedom to make your own decision.

In The Power of Now many of you will see the thoughts similar to those of Lester Levenson literally jump out at you from the pages; just the same as the unfoldment of Krishnamurti or that of Thomas Troward or Charles Haanel seem to come across therein, loud and clear. But in our own unfoldment, is that not what we all do? Do we not build on what others have unfolded before us and then add our own to the mix? This is not a static universe. It is expanding exponentially and so is our understanding.

The following words from the Sanskrit speak beautifully to what Eckhart Tolle has written in The Power of Now:
"Look to this Day for it is Life, the very Life of Life. In Its brief course lie all the Verities and Realities of your existence; the Bliss of Growth – the Glory of Action – the Splendor of Beauty. For Yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow is only a vision; but Today well lived makes every yesterday a Dream of Happiness, and Every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope. Look well, therefore, to This Day!"
