AS A MAN THINKETH

by  JAMES ALLEN

Is it any wonder that this beautifully written and poetic work is enjoying a reincarnation, so to speak, in this age of “self-improvement?” Seek no further for “self-improvement” how-to. The number of short, beautiful chapters is seven, that number itself being of symbolic significance. Yet this book, poetic and esoteric though it may seem, is filled with rock-solid instructions for unfolding a more peaceful way of life. The author lived what he wrote about. In his last years on this plane of existence he lived a life of perfect peace and beauty with his beloved wife in their quiet home by the seaside. In early dawn each morning he climbed a hill behind his home to sit in peace and meditate while looking out over the sea. Each afternoon he spent in his garden. Evenings were spent at home in the enjoyment of pleasant conversation with close friends who visited. One cannot imagine a more peaceful existence. This book must go on not only your “must read” list, but also on your “must study and apply” list.
