FRED ALAN WOLF PhD
While we find that many in this modern Online Self-Improvement Age throw around the words “quantum physics” and/or “quantum mechanics” as a basis for “their unfoldment” a few of them and many of us have not the foggiest idea what that means. However, there is one out there who can honestly and philosophically and educationally state in no uncertain terms that he actually knows as much as can be known in this day and time of “quantum mechanics” or “quantum physics.”He is the wild and wacky Dr. Wolf who announces on his wonderful website “Welcome to the Parallel Universes of Dr. Fred Alan Wolf aka Mr. Quantum.” He earned his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at UCLA in 1963. And he has written many, many books, including Parallel Universes, The Dreaming Universe, The Eagle's Quest, The Spiritual Universe, Mind into Matter, Matter into Feeling, The Yoga of Time Travel: How the Mind Can Defeat Time, and his latest book Dr. Quantum Presents, A Little Book of Big Ideas.
Dr.Wolf is well known for his simplification of the new physics, and is perhaps best known as the author of Taking the Quantum Leap for which, in 1982, he received the prestigious National Book Award for Science. His education prior to obtaining his Ph.D as described above, consists of the following: BS Engineering Physics, University of Illinois, 1957; Howard Hughes Master of Science Fellow, Culver City, CA, 1957, 1959; MS Applied Physics, University of California, Los Angeles, 1959.
Dr. Wolf is a member of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Collegium of Scholars, and has taught at the University of London, the University of Paris, the Hahn-Meitner Institute for Nuclear Physics in Berlin, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and San Diego State University in the United States.
His work in quantum physics and consciousness is well known through his popular and scientific writing, but many of us know him best for his appearance in the movie “What the Bleep” and also from his appearance on the recent blockbuster “The Secret.” Dr. Wolf has also appeared as the resident physicist on The Discovery Channel's The Know Zone and on many radio talk shows and television shows not only in the United States, but in other countries as well.
Go to his website at www.fredalanwolf.com/ to find the most fascinating copies of some of his published articles, interviews, transcribed talks and you may download many of his papers. His website is a gold mine of information. If you want to understand the “new age” writers who speak of “the oneness of all;” who teach that “there is no time but now;” and “the infinity of I am-ness;” then read everything you can find that Dr. Wolf has written. You'll love it.
