IS THINKING CAUSATIVE?

Pat's Thoughts

thinking-is-causativeMany on this Earth plane today realize that thinking is causative;  and  even though many of us believe that thinking is causative, what we may not realize is this:

Simple thinking causes nothing.

Simple thinking is not "cause."

Simple thinking is merely day-dreaming.

When deep feeling and/or strong desire is correlative with thinking, thinking is no longer simply “causative,”  it then  becomes “Cause.”

Thinking is the activity or energy of Mind. (Please note specific use of the word "mind" not "brain."  Brains, by themselves, cannot think.  Only Mind thinks.) When Mind thinks, this energy forms a picture of whatever is being thought and this shows up in many places, in addition to the brain. When the energy of deep, strong feeling or desire (activity of the heart) is added to whatever Mind is thinking, then the whole of the activity, or force, or energy automatically becomes Cause.  In other words, it causes an exact replica of what is being thought and felt in any given time.

A little more than one hundred years ago, Luther Burbank said: All my investigations have led me away from the idea of a dead material universe tossed about by various forces, to that of a universe which is absolutely all force, life, soul, thought, or whatever name we choose to call it. Every atom, molecule, plant, animal or planet, is only an aggregation of organized unit forces held in place by stronger forces, thus holding them for a time latent, though teeming with inconceivable power. All life on our planet is, so to speak, just on the outer fringe of this infinite ocean of force. The universe is not half dead, but all alive.

Another great scientist of those times, Nicolas Flammarion, also said: The universe is a great organism, controlled by a dynamism of the psychical order. Mind gleams through its every atom. There is mind in everything, not only in human and animal life, but in plants, in minerals, in space.

Why have we not risen higher on the scale of being today even though this powerful truth was so plainly understood and plainly stated by ancient sages as well as being restated by many great minds a little more than a hundred years ago in this country?  What has kept a large portion of human life on this planet in the grip of poverty, sickness and death to this very day?  Why has not the power of this truth been understood by all, thus alleviating the poverty and ills of mankind?

Could the answer be that we, ourselves, are this mind power about which the wise ones speak; yet through fear or ignorance of this great truth we are denying our own power?

If we are this all-power,  this all-intelligence,  this all-love. and if we are the universe, as some wisdom teaches, then are we using this infinite power to assign all power to a cause we have imagined to be greater than ourselves?

If we are the All Power and we assign our power to anything and everything outside ourselves, that would indeed completely negate our own power, would it not?  So, if we are this All-Power, we would then find ourselves right where we put ourselves.

Even though there appear to be millions of separate souls on this plane of existence, ancient wisdom says there is only one and we are it.

So, does that mean that  mankind is in sad shape because he has “gods many?”

Or does it mean that there is only one and that one “I AM?”    Think about it.
